Frequently Asked Questions

How often can I dine?

Dinners are arranged as soon as we get 6 or 8 compatible people together.  Depending on how specific you are in who you are looking to meet, you could be going out as often as once per week if you'd like!

How do I get scheduled for a dinner date?

There two ways to let us know when you are available for a dinner party.  We need to know by Thursday the week before the dinner that you are available.  You can either call our office, or fill out our in-line for Dinner Reservations.  You will also be contacted by our staff if a table is being planned that would be interesting to you.

How will I know my dinner party has been arranged?

When you dinner has been arranged, you will receive a phone call and an e-mail, informing you of the date, time and location of your dinner party.  You will need to confirm within 24 hours to secure your place.

Will my dinner party be fun?

Each dinner party is created by putting together 4 gentlemen and 4 ladies that have similar ages, interests, and personalities of our members.  The goal is to make each dinner party have a chemistry and magic of its own!  This is where the expertise and experience of Eight for Dinner comes into play!

Will I always dine with eight people?

Although we prefer and aim for Eight for Dinner, events beyond our control happen at the last minute.  Rather than disappoint members confirmed at our dinner party, we will on occasion have 6 people at a dinner party.

What if I met someone I would like to get to know better?

If there is someone you would like to meet again from a dinner party you attended, but didn't get the opportunity or feel comfortable making the approach on that night, just contact us the next day, and we will make the approach on your behalf.  We either set you both up on another dinner date, or with both members approval, exchange phone numbers or e-mail addresses.   We will never give out any personal information without prior approval from members.

What type of Restaurants will I be dining at?

At the moment, we have four types of Dining Experiences to choose from.  Fine Dining, Casual Dining, Pub Style Dining, and Picnics.  Each week when you sign up for dinner reservations, you will choose not only the day you are available, but also the dining experience you would like this week.  We are constantly sampling new Restaurants, and new listings are always added.  If you have a Restaurant you would like to recommend, please do!

How should I dress?

This will depend on your Restaurant choice.  Please dress at least casual but nice, or better if you choose Fine Dining.

What costs are involved at dinner?

Each member receives their own separate check.  This is a great advantage.  This allows you to order whatever you like, and you are only responsible for your own meal and drinks.

Will my membership be held confidential?

Membership at Eight for Dinner is completely confidential.  We do not sell our membership list to anyone, nor do we give last names out at a dinner.
